Ho Chi Minh city supports job creation for hundreds of thousands of laborers

Ho Chi Minh city has made efforts in creating jobs, increasing the quality of vocational training, contributing to improving the lives of laborers.

According to the city Department of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, it attracts many laborers from surrounding localities via work fairs and the fund for job creation.

In October, it created jobs for over 24,600 laborers, raising the job creation number to 273,225 since the start of the year.

In addition, over 13,800 individuals have been supported in receiving unemployment allowances to afford the cost of living while seeking new jobs.

Increasing the quality of vocational training foundation has been identified as a solution to increase the quality of laborers. Since the beginning of the year, Ho Chi Minh has received registration for establishment and licensed the operation of dozens of vocational training foundations; and carried out vocational training in accordance with international standards./.
