Hoan Kiem district announces and meets 64 candidates of the 19th district People’s Council deputies election

Accordingly, Hoan Kiem district has 64 candidates in nine electoral units to elect 37 deputies. The structure and component of candidates ensures representation of the industries and genders.

Among 64 candidates, 33 are female candidates, accounting for 51.56%; 20 are non-Party members, accounting for 31.25%; 23 under 35 years old, accounting for 35.94%; six are ethnic minorities and from religious groups; 12 re-elected candidates. 53 candidates have qualifications from university degrees or higher (including one Doctor, 13 Masters).

At the meeting, the district Fatherland Front Committee also implemented a plan on organization of meetings with voters for candidates. Accordingly, meetings with voters for candidates of the district People’s Council deputies election are scheduled to take place from May 9^th - 13^th at nine electoral units, and meetings with voters for candidates of the ward People's Council deputies election are planned to end before May 18^th.
