Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, Doan Thi Tuyet Nga, Head of the Department of Science Technology and International Cooperation from the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, appreciated BUSADCO assistance to communities, adding that the company should promote the assistance in the future.

“The natural disaster-affected residents face a lot of difficulties, especially when inadequate housing compounds the dangers presented by the complex changes of the climate,” she said. “Therefore, the housing assistance program is of great significance in sharing their difficulties.”

According to BUSADCO representatives, each house was built with VND50 million, using heatproof, soundproof and waterproof technologies, thus ensuring safety for the residents.

The remaining 35 houses are expected to be completed by late June for poor households in natural disaster-affected regions in Ben Tre and Ca Mau provinces.

The VND2 billion capital for the program is sponsored by the Tan Dai Hung Plastic Joint Stock Company./.
