The trainees were provided with APEC background, including its history of establishment, previous meetings, the target and main contents of the APEC 2017 Year in Vietnam, and an introduction about locations in Da Nang city where the APEC Summit will take place.

In particular, the training course focused on providing trainees the knowledge to increase their professional skills and ability, including how to cover diverse sources of news in a large international meeting, to get the best images and videos, and to write good and attractive articles about international events.

The course also aimed to set up a network among journalists to increase the dissemination of APEC events.

APEC 2017, titled “Creating New Dynamism, Fostering A Shared Future”, has started in Hanoi since December 2016 and will be concluded with APEC Week in Da Nang city this November./.
