The project, which has been studied since 2016, set to use an estimated capital of VND3.633 trillion, expects to upgrade the Son Tra and Phu Loc waste water treatment stations, build the sewer system on the city’s southern coastal areas and along Nguyen Tat Thanh road.

From the results of experts’ surveys, JICA proposes to expand the capacity of the Phu Loc waste water treatment station by an additional 43,000 cubic metres per day, and upgrade the sewer system for increased capacity serving the area along Da Nang bay.

Under the project, the Son Tra waste water treatment station is expected to be increased by an additional 36,000 cubic metres per day, and improve the sewer system to reduce waste pollution to coastal areas. By 2030, the damaged sewer system will be all replaced by JICA./.
