Mass media encourage public security forces to realise tasks

He made the statement during a recently held meeting with mass media management agencies and mass media agencies to review dissemination work in 2018 and tasks in 2019.
According to Minister Lam, mass media agencies have regularly followed people’s police foces’ work for disseminating information, especially in remote areas. “They have also worked closely with public security to disseminate achievements, and protest distorted arguments,” he said, adding that that played an important part in encouraging people’s police to excellently realise their tasks.
He stressed that in the recent 2nd DPRK - US Summit, mass media agencies promptly disseminated information relating to the summit, thus heightening Vietnam’s prestige and position on the international arena.
“Mass media agencies’ dissemination of information helps promote concensus in the Party and solidarity among people; maintain social and political stability and social safety; protect national security; and is an important factor in realising the strategic task in building and protecting the nation,” Minister Lam stressed.
In 2019, the Ministry of Public Security and the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education will continue to work together to honour good collectives and individuals for increasing people’s trust in public security forces; and struggle against wrongdoings./.
