Accordingly, a live broadcast television program titled “Tet for poor people and AO victims” will be held on January 13th to call on donations from agencies and individuals nationwide to join hands in assisting the poor.

Apart from poor and AO-infected people, this year’s movement will also mobilize presents for those affected by natural disasters, policy beneficiaries’ families and disadvantaged ones. The VRC alone will support 100,000 Tet presents worth VND7.2 billion to 42 provinces and cities.

The VRC has worked with the national humanitarian portal to run a message program. Accordingly, each text message with the content “TET” sent to 1407 from December 15th, 2018, to February 14th, 2019 will contribute VND20,000.

Notably, the VRC will auction the golden ball and shirts with signatures of footballers and members of the training board of AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 Champions to raise funds. This was the present of the football team to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc before it was transferred to the VRC for auction.

Initiated since 1999, the movement “Tet for the poor and AO victims” has been mobilized VND6.7 trillion, helping support over 22 million ones nationwide./.
