To obtain the targets, the Ministry will strive to increase the quality of laborers to ensure income and competitiveness; and continue to complete labour export policies and legal documents.

Last year, the country sent 134,751 laborers to work abroad, accounting for 106.7% compared to 2016, and marking the 4th consecutive year the number of Vietnamese guest workers exceeded 100,000.

The Overseas Laborer Management Department, in 2018, will continue to adjust the law on sending Vietnamese to work abroad, increase the management of labor export businesses, and prepare plans for guest workers returning home after contracts in foreign labor markets./.
