Nearly 60,000 laborers sent to work abroad

In the first half of this year, some 60,000 laborers were sent to work in foreign markets, the Department of Overseas Labor under the Ministry of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has reported.

According to Nguyen Gia Liem, Deputy Head of the Department of Overseas Labor, China’s Taiwan continued to be the largest market for Vietnamese, receiving over 24,800 laborers, followed by Japan (17,252) and the Republic of Korea (2,272).

The Department has carried out a pilot program on sending nursing trainees to Japan, attracting six qualified domestic businesses.

So far 673 nursing candidates from five training courses have been sent to Japan to work./.
