In 2017, the provincial military command actively advised the executive committees, local authorities to effectively implement national defence missions, deal with arising issues at the grass-roots level, strictly maintain readiness for combat, well manage defence land, and carry out mass mobilization work in combination with movements of armed forces to join hands in building new-style rural areas.

It also mobilized nearly 27,000 soldiers and civil defence to participate in preventing and fighting forest fires, and helping people prevent and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and storms.

The military command strictly performed the mission of teaching politics, law and national defence and security for subjects, promoted the fight against “peaceful evolution”, and effectively realized models of the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo (term XII) on “Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh”.

For missions in 2018, Political Head of Military Zone 4 Tran Minh Thanh and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong asked the military command to continue giving advice to effectively implement programs and plans, enhance coordination with levels and branches to deal with arising issues at the grass-roots level, and maintain readiness for combat./.
