Nghe An trains volunteers to serve APEC 2017

So far, the Nghe An Department of Foreign Affairs has had the official list of 30 volunteers from Ministry of Planning and Investment, Nghe An Investment Support and Promotion Centre, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Tourism and Vinh University.

The contents of the training include: general introduction about APEC, overview of APEC's Emergency Preparedness Working Group and Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM) on managing natural disaster.

Meanwhile, essential information for volunteers include: APEC principles; general requirements for volunteers; functions, duties and rights of volunteers; security and order for participants; and receptionist and logistics for the event.

Following plans for APEC 2017, Nghe An was chosen to host the 11th Senior Disaster Management Officials Forum with the theme “Enhancing cooperation and renewing advanced technology to support the consequences of inter-regional emergency response for new natural disasters” among APEC economies./.
