Ninh Thuan promotes development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous regions

In realization of the Prime Minister’s policy on supporting socio-economic development among ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous regions in the 2017-2020 period, the central province of Ninh Thuan has focused on mobilizing its resources for beneficiaries.

As a result, ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous regions have seen remarkable changes, with the traffic, school and medical station systems having been built across localities; over 96% of families having access to the national power grid and over 75% having access to safe water.

Residents’ income has been increased from VND12 million in 2015 to VND17 million in 2017, while the poverty rate has been reduced by 3% per year on average.
