Over 1,000 people run for disadvantaged children

Over 1,000 people on January 7th joined a race, at the 1.5, 5 and 15 kilometre distances, held in Hanoi by the city Fund for Children in collaboration with Myself Run Club, in order to raise funds to help extremely disadvantaged children.
After the race, the organizing committee collected VND80 million from individuals and organizations, presenting 10 scholarships worth VND1 million each to disadvantaged children in Tay Ho district, while the rest will be spent in other programs held by the Hanoi Fund for Children.
Athletes compete in the 5 kilometre distance event.
