According to the Department, in October alone, over 14,500 laborers were sent to work abroad, mainly to China’s Taiwan, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Algeria and Saudi Arabia.

Last year, the number of Vietnamese sent abroad was reported at a record high of 134,000. The target of 110,000 laborers abroad this year has been realized after only 10 months.

The success has been brought about by the implementation of diverse solutions, including maintaining some main labour markets such as China’s Taiwan and Japan; increasing the quality of laborers by training and heightening their foreign languages, skills and orientations before going to work abroad; enhancing management of labour export; and continuing to complete labor export policies./.
