The event, which was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, attracted the participation of 236 young Vietnamese intellectuals studying and working in 23 countries and territories worldwide.

Speaking at the forum, Ms. Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, said that the previous forum helped connect domestic and foreign intellectuals, who have burning desire to make contributions to the national development cause.
With the goal of continuing to strengthen the global network of young Vietnamese intellectuals, the forum is organized to create opportunities for young intellectuals who are studying, living or working at home or abroad to discuss the vision, mission, role and ability of young Vietnamese intellectuals in the process of national construction and development, promoting Vietnam's deep economic integration with the region and the whole globe.
Ms. Mai highly appreciated the contents discussed at the forum, including growth model and quality, labour productivity, social equality, as well as measures for the country to maintain fast and sustainable economic growth and make the best use of the golden population structure to develop high-quality human resources.
At the event, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Le Quoc Phong emphasized the important role of young intellectuals in the country’s sustainable development.
He said that they should receive the best conditions to make further contributions to the nation.
Ms. Truong Thi Mai hoped that no matter where and in what position, young intellectuals will always have Vietnam in their hearts, putting their heart and ambition to contribute to the country. She believed that appropriate mechanisms and policies will encourage the younger generation to actively contribute to the cause of national innovation, construction and protection./.
