Over 46,000 servings of milk provided for children in Quang Nam province

The Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) and the Stand Tall Vietnam Milk Fund on August 7th provided 46,500 servings of milk to children in the central province of Quang Nam, starting a milk provision journey for the 10th year.

The milk, worth VND300 million, was provided for over 600 pupils in Phu Dong and Duy Trinh primary schools in Duy Xuyen district, with a hope to help them have better physical and brain development.

Addressing the milk granting ceremony, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh expressed her hope that the pupils would strive to become talents in the future and contribute to the homeland's development.

Established since 2008, the Stand Tall Vietnam Milk Fund will provide 1.4 million servings of milk worth VND9 billion to 16,000 children in 2017, bringing the total number of servings of milk over the past 10 years to 31.5 million, or roughly VND130 billion and the number of children benefiting from the program to 400,009 throughout the country.

Besides the milk fund, in 2017, Vinamilk will also spend nearly VND100 billion on nearly 40 million boxes of milk to allocate to 500,000 pre-schools and primary schools at localities./.
