Over 780,000 jobs created in first half

In the first half of this year, the country created jobs for over 780,000 labourers, the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has reported.

In particular, some 725,000 labourers got new jobs and some 57,000 labourers were sent to work abroad.

According to MOLISA, over 1.46 million labourers were provided with employment consultancy and introduction at centers, with 32.2% of whom getting jobs introduced by the centers.

It was estimated that 560 work fairs attracting some 25-30 businesses and 400-450 labourers each had been organized in the last 6 months.

MOLISA Deputy Minister has said to develop the labour market and boost job creation, the ministry will increase research and forecast on labour market, job consultancy and introduction and work fairs while maintaining and expanding foreign labour markets as well as supporting guest workers in enhancing labour export.

“Favourable conditions will be made for recruiting and using labourers in businesses; linking labour demand and supply; effectively realizing employment policies; and ensuring stable jobs for female labourers, especially those who are 35 years old or more and working in industrial zones,” he added.

He went on to say that labour export management would be reinforced to ensure legitimate rights and interests of the workers./.
