Over VND2.2 trillion collected to support COVID-19 fight

As of August 27, VND 2.2 trillion in cash and exhibits was collected through the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to support the fight against COVID-19, the VFF has reported.

The money and exhibits were collected in 5 months since VFF launched the program in support of the fight, according to Tran Thanh Man, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the VFF.

“The VFF has been coordinating with the Government, the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control, and the Ministry of Health to distribute the donations to buy medical devices and materials for fighting COVID-19,” he said. 

During the complex development of the pandemic domestically and internationally, VFF President Man expressed his hope that more and more domestic and foreign agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals would continue to join hands in gaining good results in the pandemic prevention and control. 

On the same day, the VFF received 2 ECMO machine systems worth VND7 billion from the Neo Successful Journey Group Company (NSJ Group); and VND50 million and 4,500 packages of instant noodles from Next Media Company and athletes from the Next Sports PES Cup 2020./.
