Over VND315 billion in support of extremely disadvantaged people

During ten years of implementation of the movement “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange (AO) victims”, nearly 774,000 people who live in extremely disadvantaged circumstances have been provided with presents and livelihood worth over VND315 billion, the Hanoi Red Cross has reported.

Accordingly, houses, reproductive cows and buffaloes, production tools, seedlings and animals have been presented to extremely disadvantaged people, in order to encourage them to expand production.

Meanwhile, they have also received clothes, blankets, domestic facilities, and savings books.

While extremely disadvantaged pupils have been assisted with tables, chairs and books, the elderly have also been provided with free medicine and medical check-ups.

Additionally, the organization received more than 1.2 million units of blood worth over VND247 billion./.
