Party official extends Easter greetings to Hanoi Archdiocese

Politburo member Truong Thi Mai, who heads the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, on April 20th visited and extended Easter greetings to the Hanoi Archdiocese and Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien.

Mai conveyed a wish for warm and joyful Easter to the Archbishop and all dignitaries, priests, nuns and Christians of the Hanoi Archdiocese.

She underscored the great contributions of the Christian community to the country’s socio-economic, security-defence achievements over the years.

Mai expressed her belief that in his position, Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien will continue working closely with priests, nuns and local Christians to realise the Party and State policies, joining hands with people across the nation in national construction and defence.

For his part, Archbishop Joseph Vu Van Thien thanked the Party and State for their care to the Hanoi Archdiocese.

He said that he hopes the government at all levels will continue creating optimal conditions for the Christian community to build a harmonious relationship between the religion and a secular society, so their needs and aspirations are met./.
