Accordingly, the cows worth over VND17.45 billion will be allocated to 1,000 poor families from now until 2018.

The families will be trained in raising the cows, making adequate breeding grounds, and have to commit to escape poverty within 2-3 years after receiving the large domesticated ungulates. They will also be assisted during breeding by the program members.

The program is expected to raise the quality of the cow herd in the province, promptly realizing the national sustainable poverty reduction target.

Each year, Quang Binh, a poor province of the country, reports serious consequences of natural disasters. Local residents still meet a lot of difficulties, with the high poverty rate at 12.42% in early 2017./.
