Quang Ngai province: Children with cleft palate given free check-ups

The Quang Ngai provincial Fund for Children on January 8th worked with the Resurge International and the provincial Obstetrics - Paediatrics Hospital to carry out an operation program for children with congenital lip malformation and cleft palate.

Cleft palate, a common malformation in children, not only affects their appearance but also their physical and mental health.
Lasting until January 20th using a capital of over VND1 billion, the program will include medical check-ups, operate on patients with cleft lip and palate, scars, burn after-effects, and give postoperative care to the patients.
Some 70 child patients are expected to be treated with operations on their malformations, assisting them have a normal life in communities./.
