The regular meeting of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee on December 5th became the first one without paper documents. This is part of the province’s plan to build an e-government and smart city.

At this meeting, each delegate was delivered an iPad. Through it, all information relating to the meeting is presented and shared, such as informing the schedule, sending letter of invitation, preparing essential documents, sending delegates’ comments, registering for speaking at the meeting.
The paperless meeting can contribute to eliminating carbon footprint and saving resources as well as enable participants to access data any time.
As planned, such meeting will be applied to all of the provincial People’s Committee’s regular meetings from now on.
Previously in July 2019, the 13th meeting of the 13th Quang Ninh provincial People’s Council for the 2016-2021 period also applied paperless meeting. Before the meeting, the delegates of the provincial People’s Council were trained to how to use and exploit documents on iPad./.
