The
12th event was held on July 25th at Au Co Art Center at
No.8 Huynh Thuc Khang street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi on the occasion of
celebrating the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers'
Day (July 27th).
It
was attended by Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa
Binh; PCC member, Standing Deputy Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization
and Education Vo Van Phuong; PCC member, Minister of Labor, War-Invalids and Social
Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung; PCC member, Minister of Natural Resources and
Environment Tran Hong Ha; and Deputy Head of the PCC Commission on
Popularization and Education Le Manh Hung.
Organized
for the first time in 2008, the CPV Online News associated with many relevant
agencies, businesses, individuals to present more than VND48 billion, 1,200
savings and gifts, over 600 houses of gratitude and thousands of scholarships
to the families of war invalids and martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers and
persons with meritorious service to the country.
On
the sidelines, the program continued to present significant gifts to war
invalids and martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers and persons with meritorious
service to the country in Khanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Chuong My district in Hanoi,
Hiep Hoa district in Yen The (Bac Giang), Tinh Gia district in Thanh Hoa, and
Vinh Tuong district in Vinh Phuc with total value of more than VND3 billion.
This
year's event drew the participation of Dang Duong, Lan Anh, Le
Anh Dung and Thu Ha artists, OPlus, Dong Thoi Gian and Cat Tien bands and
Lavender dance group.
