Kon Tum, a border Central Highlands province, has six local ethnic minority groups: Xo Dang, Ba Na, Gie Trieng, Gia Rai, Brau and Ro Mam.

As many as 511 of 556 ethnic minority villages have Rong Houses. Each group builds Rong House with a different style, and calls it with a different name. Rong Houses are the places where villagers gather for meetings, festivals and community activities.
