Savings books presented to entitlement policy families

(CPV) - The program to pay debts of gratitude "Red Flower" has been held annually by Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper since 2008, collecting over VND45 billion; presenting over 16,000 savings books, nearly 600 houses of gratitude and 600 cows to entitlement policy families.

To mark the 71st anniversary of the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Fallen Soldiers (July 27th), on July 2nd-3rd, Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, the army corps 16 under the Ministry of National Defence and the Cat Tuong Real Estate Group, organized a ceremony to present savings books to entitlement policy families in Binh Phuoc province.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, said the annually held "Red Flower" program aims to pay debts of gratitude to entitlement policy families, wounded soldiers, fallen soldiers’ families and persons with meritorious service across the country.

“The presents contain great spiritual value which help encourage entitlement policy families to strive in life,” said Mr. Tien.

He also announced that the 11th "Red Flower" program would be broadcast live on Vietnam Television on July 20th.

Colonel Ha Huy Tan, Party Committee Secretary and  Deputy Commander of the army corps 16, appreciated the program, confirming that it had been carried out effectively, contributing to pay debts of gratitude for entitlement policy families in Binh Phuoc province where the program organizing committee presented 67 savings books to entitlement policy families in Loc Ninh, Phu Rieng, Bu Dop and Bu Dang districts.

An additional six houses of gratitude will be presented to extremely disadvantaged entitlement policy families in the province in the near future./.
