Six months of 2018: More than 780,000 laborers get jobs

In the first half of this year, the country has created jobs for some 782,000 laborers, accounting for 48.9% of the year’s target, including 725,000 jobs created domestically and 57,000 sent to work abroad, the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has reported.

During a press conference on the implementation of policies on labor, revolutionary contributors and society in the first six months, held on June 19th, MOLISA informed that educational training foundations had given vocational training to over one million people, a year-on-year increase of 142%, contributing to increasing the number of trained laborers to 56.7%.

From now to the end of this year, MOLISA plans to increase the quality of vocational training and develop the labour market, creating more jobs and boosting sustainable poverty reduction.

In realization of revolutionary contributors’ policies, MOLISA is addressing profiles for senior volunteers in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh to enjoy the policies; received 1,087 sets of martyrs’ remains; and carried out diverse activities to mark the 71st anniversary of the Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs (July 27th)./.
