The information was announced during a press conference held on October 18th.

Christopher Jeffery, BBGV Vice President and Director of the British University Vietnam (BUV), said the run aims to support charitable organizations across Vietnam for carrying out projects increasing people’s intellectual standards, improving working ability and increasing social links.

He expressed his hope that the run would welcome some 7,000 participants, raising VND700 million, for creating sustainable change among Vietnamese disadvantaged people.

According to the organizing committee, this year’s event will see the participation of UK Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward.

Last year, the Run attracted 6,000 people, collecting VND600 million for Vietnamese charitable organizations.

Over the past 18 years, it is annually held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, attracting over 100,000 participants, raising over VND10 billion for charitable activities in Vietnam, contributing to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and the UK./.
