Southern city runs activity week on CPV founding celebration

Addressing the opening ceremony, Le Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Publishers Association and head of the Ho Chi Minh city Book Road Company, said that over the past 90 years, the CPV had overcome diverse difficulties to make successive victories, and set up miracles in the 20th century such as the August Revolution in 1945, the great victory of the Spring in 1975 to gain national reunification; and the promotion of renewal, bringing prosperity and happiness to the people

Accordingly, the week is expected to contribute to educating the young generation to remember the merits of President Ho Chi Minh - the founder of the CPV; the achievements made by the previous generations, the senior leaders of the Party and revolution of Vietnam, the heroic martyrs and those who fought and bravely sacrificed in the cause of struggle for national independence and freedom.

It also aims to review the great achievements and precious lessons learned by the Party in the cause of building and defending the fatherland over the past 90 years, especially over 30 years leading the cause of national renewal.

Diverse events will take place during the week, including the introduction of a set of books on the development of Vietnamese ideology from the 19th century to the August Revolution; works on Party building; and exhibition on documents on the establishment and development of the CPV, and documentary photos of Saigon - Cho Lon - Ho Chi Minh city./.
