(CPV) – On September 24, the first session of the Executive Board of the 16th Kon Tum Party Committee (term 2020-2025) elected the Standing Board, with 15 members. Mr. Duong Van Trang was elected as Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

Comrades: Nguyen Van Hoa, A Pot, and Le Ngoc Tuan were elected as Deputy Secretaries of the 16th Kon Tum Party Committee (term 2020-2025). The Congress elected 10 members (missing 1 member) to the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Inspection, and Ms. Y Thi Bich Tho was elected as Chairwoman of the Commission.
The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 13th National Party Congress and approved the Resolution of the 16th Kon Tum Party Congress.
Earlier, on September 23rd, by secret ballot, the Congress introduced 58 members and then elected 50 members to the Executive Board of the 16th Party Committee (term 2020-2025), in accordance with regulations of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee.
Mr. Duong Van Trang was born in 1961, in Mo Duc district, the central province of Quang Ngai. He has held the positions of Commander the Gia Lai Military Headquarters, Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Party Committee (term 2011-2015), Chairman of the Gia Lai People’s Council (term 2016-2021); and Secretary of the Gia Lai Party Committee and PCC member (term 12).
On May 31, 2020, the Politburo released him from his positions on the Executive Board, Standing Board and as Secretary of the Gia Lai Party Committee. He was appointed to join the Executive Board, Standing Board and hold the post of Secretary of the Kon Tum Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term./.
