State President praises outstanding blood donors

State President Tran Dai Quang has sent a letter praising collectives and individuals who have made remarkable contributions to voluntary blood movements on the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day (June 14th).

In the letter, the State President sent his regards and close affection, as well as best wishes, to voluntary blood donors, collectives and individuals who made active contributions to voluntary blood donation drives.

He stressed that donating blood to save people is a noble deed, of great humanitarian significance, and is each person’s responsibility.

According to the State President, voluntary blood donation has received close leadership from agencies and sectors to become a wide movement with diverse and practical activities across the country, thus collecting an adequate amount of blood to promptly save patients, contributing to beautify the Vietnamese tradition of loving each other.

He recognized, appreciated and praised voluntary blood donors, those who donate blood many times, who donate blood for emergency, and who both donate blood and encourage the others to donate blood, making important contributions to protect, care for and increase people’s health.

On this occasion, Mr Quang urged Party organizations, authorities, agencies and unions to continue to guide and accelerate voluntary blood donation campaigns, and encourage people and soldiers across the country to actively participate in donating blood to save patients, for a healthy and humanitarian society./.
