Stretching tea hills among waters in the border region in the central province of Nghe An have become a tourism draw over the past several years.
Thanh Chuong tea hills offer unique scenery as they are surrounded by water. Fifty years ago, the region was a lake built for irrigating over 700 hectares of water. Tea has been grown now for some 3 years. At present, nearly 200 families grow tea on an area of over 400 hectares.

To visit the tea hills, tourists have to move by boat.

Each tea hill has an area of around 1 hectare.

The cool temperature of 17-28 degree Celsius offers favorable conditions for tea growth.

Shacks are built on the islands both to care for the tea and provide services for tourists.

According to a tea grower, each year, some 8 generations of tea are harvested, bringing in nearly VND200 million to his family on average.

Boats are available to serve tourists.

Early mornings are the ideal moment for visiting the tea islands.

The perfume of the tea and the pure atmosphere will help tourists relax.

Tourists can also rest overnight at the tea islands with homestay services.
