On April 1st, Da Nang hospital and Heart for heart signed a program on training heart medical staff over 5 years, relating to the development of online training and links between the Da Nang city’s heart center with Germany’s Munich heart center, and those all over the world.

Under the program, the German organization will send a leading heart expert to Da Nang city to share experience with its medical staff, and realize the program on checking congenital heart diseases in surrounding areas. Additionally, it will provide the city with most modern medical equipment.

Since 2006, Heart for heart has supported Da Nang city in establishing a congenital heart surgery unit with diverse equipment, using a capital of VND63 billion. As a result, over 4,000 cases have been treated and nearly 70,000 children from central localities have been checked.

According to Dr. Le Duc Nhan, Director of the Da Nang Hospital, Heart for heart’s assistance has helped the hospital become the place with the highest rate of heart disease control and intervention of Vietnam.

“In particular, thousands of disadvantaged children have been provided with free heart surgeries,” he added./.
