Thousands of power poles replaced after typhoon

The Central Power Corporation (CPC) has mobilized resources to replace 2,600 power poles and nearly 90 transformer stations in Quang Binh province which were damaged by Typhoon Doksuri.

On September 16th, the CPC mobilized engineers and workers from Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Binh to repair or replace power poles which collapsed in the typhoon.

According to the Electricity of Vietnam, the typhoon left over 2,800 power poles collapsed, and 1.3 million customers disconnected from power.

According to Nguyen Thanh, CPC Deputy General Director, in Quang Binh province, 2,600 power poles collapsed and 87 transformer stations were damaged.
