The exam will take place on March 11th-20th to select 1,500 labourers from poor districts and extremely disadvantaged coastal and island communes, under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in early 2018 sending Vietnamese labourers to the RoK under the Employment Permit System (EPS).

This was the 6th time Vietnam and the RoK signed MoU on EPS, the previous times in 2004, 2006, 2010, 2012 and 2016. The 2018 MoU is valid for two years.

The signing of MoU has opened up many opportunities for Vietnamese labourers. Last year, over 6,500 Vietnamese went to work in the RoK, ranking the market only after Japan and Taiwan (China)./.
