Vietnamese central province supports Lao village’s socio-economic development

The Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard has worked with Kim Son 1 communal authority and Laos’ Kham Cot district authority to organize diverse activities aiming to boost local socio-economic development and poverty reduction, and strengthen the spiritual and material lives of residents in Thoong Pe village.

The Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard said on March 31st that this was part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the relationship between Kim Son 1 commune and Thoong Pe village.

The Kim Son 1 communal authority has provided 50 tons of cement for Thoong Pe village to build a road to the village headquarters. The construction was completed with the length of over 500 metres and the width of 3.5 metres.

Additionally, it has presented 100 mosquito nets, 50 hammocks and 200 kilograms of rice seedlings to disadvantaged families in the village. Plantation and breeding technologies have also been shared with the village.

Meanwhile, doctors and nurses from the Kim Son 1 medical station have worked with the Thoong Pe village medical station to give free medical check-ups and medicines to 150 people./.
