“One Heart – One World”, a program aiming to increase awareness about handicapped people’s issues, praising good examples of disabled people, and paying tribute to sponsors, will be held for the 14th time, encouraging donations for raising the living quality of disabled people and orphans across the country.

Nguyen Trong Dam, Deputy Minister of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs appreciated the activities by ASVHO over the past time, especially in mobilizing assistance for disabled people. According to the Deputy Minister, there are some 9 million disabled people across the country; however, only 800,000 seriously disabled people enjoy allowances. Meanwhile, they face a lot of difficulties in vocational training and jobs. Therefore, ASVHO activities will help disabled people have access to social resources to improve their quality of life.

Over the past 5 years, ASVHO has assisted over 6 million disabled people and orphans. “In the future, the association will focus on giving vocational training and jobs for disabled people, and raising communities’ awareness about disabled people so that they can have easier access to social services,” said Nguyen Dinh Lieu, ASVHO Chairman./.
