Women in central district follow Uncle Ho’s example

According to Vice Chairwoman of the district Women’s Union Nguyen Thi Tu Nga, studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s example has been put into the union’s resolution for annual realization. In particular, practical movements have been realized by the women, including those encouraging women to study, work creatively, boost domestic economic development and develop happy families. Many collectives and individuals have been praised and awarded by the Quang Ngai provincial and Binh Son district People’s Committees.

In 2016 alone, members of the district Women’s Union gave sponsorship to extremely disadvantaged pupils and orphans, while the agency directed its lower levels to encourage members to maintain effective models on saving rice and money, collecting wasted materials that can be reused, and assisting poor pupils to continue to go to school. All the models proved their efficiency, thus assisting a large number of women and poor children.

As a result, in 2016, women’s unions at all levels in the district saved nearly 18 tons of rice and over VND200 million, assisting the lives of over 1,800 poor women and poor children. Meanwhile, they sponsored and gave regular allowances to 120 poor children and disadvantaged women with 10-20 kilograms of rice or VND100,000-300,000./.
