Accordingly, volunteers will clean up houses for families in need, thus disseminating information about environmental protection. The collected money will be used for charitable purposes.

Under the program, 700 individuals have registered to donate blood; 1,500 "chung" cakes will be made for poor people and disadvantaged children; and warm clothes will be presented to lonely elderly people and disadvantaged children.

Addressing the program send-off meeting on January 16th, Do Thi Kim Kien, South African Honourable Consul to Ho Chi Minh city, said that the program would help students practice working, teamwork and persuasion skills, apart from assisting communities.

Last year, the South African Consulate in Ho Chi Minh city and Consul Lien organized diverse humanitarian activities in support of beneficiaries’ and revolutionary contributors’ families, disadvantaged people and poor pupils across the country./.
