Yen Bai gives vocational training to 88,000 rural labourers

Vocational training in the province has been assessed to be effective, as many graduates have got jobs at businesses or production foundations inside and outside the province, while some others have gone to work abroad.

Increasingly high quality of rural labourers have promoted production and changed labour structure, with the number of agricultural labourers reducing from 69.44% in 2015 to 66.9% in 2017, contributing to boosting poverty reduction, industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas.

Diverse effective production models have been reported after labourers are trained, including models producing safe vegetables in Yen Bai city; planting and processing bamboo sprouts, and raising silkworm in Tran Yen district.

In the 2016-2020 period, Yen Bai targets to provide vocational training to 88,000 rural labourers; give vocational training consultancy and employment introduction to labourers on mass media; and renew training methods by increasing practice./.
