As many as 65 excellent workers, representing over 4.5 million young workers, artisans and trainees from vocational training foundations who are actively studying and working for national industrialization and modernization, were honoured in the “Good Young Worker” award by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union during a ceremony held on May 13th.

th time, the noble award, to mark the 200
th birthday of Karl Marx (May 5
th) and the 128
th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19
th), aimed to honour highly-skilled workers who successfully put forth creative solutions applied in production and bringing high socio-economic efficiency.
The annually held award is also expected to develop high quality young human resources serving national industrialization, modernization and international integration.
Recognising the achievements of the excellent workers, Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Mass Mobilization, stressed that youngsters were leading forces during emulation for national construction, in addressing the challenges relating to working productivity, the quality of economy, climate change and aging population; and that the honoured workers were outstanding examples representing Vietnamese young workers who were studying and working to master technologies and be connected to production. “The Party and State put their trust in the youngsters’ contributions to the nation’s increased international integration,” she said.
She expressed her hope that the Vietnamese young workers would make greater efforts to increase their skills, master technologies, especially during the 4th industrial revolution, and urged relevant agencies to train youngsters to improve Vietnam’s working productivity and build the nation’s high quality labour force./.
