60 Vietnamese students attend 10th ASEAN Schools Games

(CPV) - Sixty Vietnamese students are attending the 10th ASEAN Schools Games (ASG) 2018 held in Malaysia from July 20th-27th.

This year's ASG lures 4,000 young athletes from 10 ASEAN member nations, playing for 10 events: athletics, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, netball, sepak takraw, squash and aerobics, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.

The Vietnamese team includes 60 staffs, coaches, athletes, referees who will compete in four categories: athletics, table tennis, gymnastics, and swimming.

The opening ceremony was held on July 20th at the campus of the 62-year-old MARA University of Technology in Selangor's state capital Shah Alam.

This is the second time Malaysia is hosting the Games, after the second edition in 2010. While Singapore has also hosted the ASG twice - last year and in 2011./.
