Coach Dan Petrescu: Binh Duong club is a really strong rival

(CPV) - “Binh Duong club is a really strong rival”, former famous Romanian football player Dan Petrescu, who used to play for Chelsea and is now head coach of China’s Jiangsu club, said before the match in Group E of AFC Champions League 2016 on February 23rd.
Working for Jiangsu since last July, he is now the “hottest man” since convincing club’s leaders to pay hundreds of millions of USD for stars from Europe, such as halfback Ramires from Chelsea, Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk or striker Jo, a former player of Manchester City club.

“Binh Duong is the champion of V-league, had competed at AFC Champions League for years. So, it is a really strong rival for us. Neglect will kill us. Of course, Jiangsu’s target is a victory. However, Binh Duong is to play in the hosting stadium, thus creating a lot of pressure”, he said during a press briefing on February 22nd, in Binh Duong province.
By adding the names of Ramires and Teixeira, the Chinese club has the most powerful roster. New players, however, need time to gain familiarity with their teammates. The chance for Ramires and Teixeira to play right from the first minutes has not been finalized.
Meanwhile, Binh Duong club’s head coach Nguyen Thanh Son has also clearly recognized the advantages of the Chinese rival, saying that his students should demonstrate the highest professional skills and power. The game is win-win.
He added that Binh Duong does not set any targets for this Asia arena, and is simply doing its utmost in each game./.
