First MTB event Vinh Phuc Cross Country on October 22nd

(CPV) - Paradise Dai Lai resort in Northern Vinh Phuc province will host the Vinh Phuc Cross Country 2017 on October 22nd.

Co-hosted by the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Federation, Vinh Phuc Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Vietnam MTB Series Corporation, this is the first race in the Vietnam MTB Series 2017 championships system in the Northern region, with the participation of over 200 amateur and professional international/local cyclists.

Players will compete for Olympic Cross-Country with eight categories, for amateur (men’s, aged 12-18, aged 51-62, one lap, 18.5km; men’s, aged 19-40, aged 41-50, two laps, 37km; women’s, aged 12-29, aged 30-65, one lap, 18.5km), for professional (both men’s and women’s, two laps, 37km).


They will test their skills along beautiful routes that go around Dai Lai lake, Paradise Dai Lai resort and Flamingo resort before challenging the steep hills of the area.

Organizers will apply the Chip Timing system developed by 123go to ensure accurate timing.

After 2015 and 2016, MTB Series has become similar to cyclists who are excited by dangerous bumpy roads and adrenaline flowing in their blood. It lured 150 racers in 2015, and 570 racers in 2016 with three stages.

This year, MTB Series come back with six stages, stretching from Northern to Southern of Vietnam. Its first stage kicked off in Di An town, Binh Duong province on January 15th, following by Da Lat (March 24th-26th), Ham Da (May 28th), Den Hung (August 20th), Vinh Phuc (October 22nd) and Nui Dinh (November 26th)./
