(CPV) - The 20 years old tennis player Ly Hoang Nam currently places 471st in the rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals, the highest level in Southeast Asia region.

The Tay Ninh province-origin athlete has demonstrated a strong movement in the recent period by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the China F12 Men's Futures tennis tournament in Shenzhen city. He is trying his best to bag gold in the upcoming SEA Games 29.

With 81 points of the total, Ly Hoang Nam surpassed his Indonesia rival Christopher Rungkat who has only 79 points, ranking 475th.

Christopher Rungkat, consecutively winning three golds in the men’s singles event of the regional sporting festival, is a real challenge for Hoang Nam, who has never bagged the gold.

Before travelling to Malaysia, he is scheduled to play another professional tour in Thailand./.
