(CPV) - The 4th Vinh Long international volleyball Arirang Cup 2016 is taking place at Vinh Long provincial Sports and Physical Training Competition Centre from July 12th-17th.
Female player Ha Ngoc Diem, 22, from Binh Dien Long An team will compete at the tour
Three delegations, of Ho Chi Minh city, Long An and Vinh Long province, have registered to play in both men’s and women’s events. While visiting rival Visakha from Cambodia and Ben Tre province will play in the men’s event, together with female players from Vietinbank.
Defending champions of Hung Vuong Cup -Vietinbank and defending champions of the national tournament PV Gas - Maseco from Ho Chi Minh city, are the two candidates for women’s and men’s champions titles, respectively.
Besides, defending champions of the Cambodia volleyball national cup, Visakha team led by Tran Van Son (from Vinh Long province), is also considered a strong contender.
Teams play in a round-robin format, selecting the best two ones for the final game.
All matches offer free entrance and are broadcast live by Vinh Long Television Station from 14h30 on THVL2 channel.
The final game for men’s event will start at 14h30 while the final game for women’s event will begin at 19h30 on July 17th./.
