(CPV) - The Vietnamese football squad drew 1-1 in the last match with Uzbekistan in Hanoi on August 7th, wining the U23 international tournament - Vinaphone Cup 2018 with the most points after two wins and one draw.
The Vinaphone Cup drew four Asian teams, including Uzbekistan, Oman, Palestine and host Vietnam. The winner Vietnam received USD20,000 in cash, while the runners-up Palestine got USD10,000 and Uzbekistan USD5,000.
Eelier, in the opening match on August 3rd, the country earned a perfect start with a 2-1 victory over Palestine (scored by Anh Duc and Cong Phuong).
While a superb goal from defender Doan Van Hau (19, 1.85 m tall, Thai Binh province-born) in the 89th minute helped Vietnam beat Oman 1-0 at My Dinh national stadium on August 5th.
Korean nationality head coach Park Hang-seo decided to field a completely different squad compared to the previous match, with all 11 new faces entering their game./.
