Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia congratulates sports delegation

A delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia led by Ambassador Pham Vinh Quang on October 8th arrived at the Athlete Village of Kemayoran in Jakarta to congratulate the Vietnamese sports delegation attending the Asian Para Games 2018.

Ambassador Pham Vinh Quang congratulated the Vietnamese sports delegation for having excellent achievements over the two days of competition, and the four athletes of Nguyen Thanh Trung, Vo Thanh Tung, Nguyen Binh An and Dang Thi Linh Phuong winning gold medals.

The delegation won four gold medals, one silver medal and five bronze medals,  and ranked 7 out of 44 nations and territories competing at the Asian Para Games 2018.

The ambassador hoped that with this momentum, the delegation will continue to reap successes in the next days. He also conveyed the pleasure of all the officials and staff of the embassy and affirmed that the embassy and the Vietnamese community in Indonesia always accompany, cheer and support the delegation during their time of competition in Indonesia.

Mr. Vu The Phiet, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Vietnam Paralympic Association, said that during the past two days, the Vietnamese sports delegation had achieved many excellent achievements and event set a new Asian record. In the coming days, the delegation still has many hopes in swimming and athletics.

He thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia for always supporting and encouraging the delegation in all aspects, thereby contributing to the success of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the games.

Among the Southeast Asian nations participating in the Asian Para Games 2018, only Vietnam and Indonesia are in the top 44 countries and territories./.
