The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in the Russian Federation organized the 2017 Vietnamese Student Sports Games at Meteor Stadium in Moscow on April 23rd.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Overseas Party Committee in Russia, highly appreciated this practical activity of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, especially toward the big holidays of the nation.
Mr. Le Anh Duy from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Russia said that over the past 20 years, the games have attracted more and more students and postgraduates to participate in the competition.
This year's event lured nearly 1,000 competitors, representing 22 youth unions from universities in Moscow and its neighbouring areas, lasting from April 23rd to May 7th.
Athletes will participate in many competitions such as men's football, women's football, tug-of-war and athletics./.
