1 million Vietnamese travel to Thailand in 2018

As of December 13th, the number of Vietnamese tourists to Thailand hit 1 million, Ms. Napasorn Kakai, Director of Representative Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Ho Chi Minh city, said in a press conference on December 19th.

The reasons make Thailand favored among Vietnamese travelers are abundant landscape, low costs and convenient flight route.

Together with Bangkok, the land of smiles has many hot spots attracting more and more Vietnamese and foreign tourists such as Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, and Khao Yai.

According to a survey, over the past year, Hua Hin was selected by a lot of tourists. The peaceful city is more than 200 kilometers from Bangkok and it take three hours to travel by passenger car. Travelers can enjoy beautiful beaches, Wat Huay Mongkol Temple and Hua Hin railway station.

In 2018, Bangkok still remained at 1st place among Top 30 destinations selected by Vietnamese tourists due to open air network with nearly 30 airlines operating direct flight routes from Ho Chi Minh city and Hanoi to Bangkok.

Meanwhile, Khao Yai is attractive for its romantic beauty and proximity to the nature of the largest dairy farm in Southeast Asia, Chok Chau, Khao Yai National Park, Europe village Primo Piazza and the famous café the Mew.

Next year, the Thai government set a target of increasing the number of Vietnamese tourists by 10% compared to the previous year./.
